Webinar: Intro to Writing Short Fiction for MG & YA Authors

I’m thrilled to announce that I will be teaching a two-night webinar on writing short fiction for young readers with my good friend Nora Shalaway Carpenter on May 24 & 26 at the Highlights Foundation. We’ll be covering all the basics of writing short stories for young audiences, as well as discussing short fiction markets for young readers, and providing exercises and prompts designed to elicit new story ideas and revise existing stories. This is a great course for new and experienced children’s writers interested in learning more about the short story form.

You can find out more details and pricing on the Highlights Foundation website.

You can also read a blog post I wrote discussing the Five Reasons You Should Be Writing Short Stories.
